Default Flybar question

I changed the flybar just to have everything new after the crash. I put the old one up against a straight edge ruler and there is the slightest bend. I mean when you turn it, it moves away from straight by 1 mm. Is it still usable? does that much really effect it?
Cheers
Lee

Can you straitened out ?
If not, the only way to know for sure is to fly with it.
Its kinda like driving a car with a grompy servo direction, when you turn some times the stearing shakes, but you can still drive the car.
The flybar is like a stabelizer.
That's what I've been told.
Flybar : $3.00
Flying heli : priceless
later...

I had a weird wobble in mine that was driving me nuts. Finally pulled the fly bar out and it had just the slighest bend. Replaced it, and voila. No more weird wobble. I think it's pretty critical to have a straight and balanced a flybar as possible. For the cost of those bars, I now have a pile of them, since I'm just about good at straightening them, as I am at flying.

LOL yeh i tried to straighten it but just kept going round in circles. Not worth the hassle for the $$ but i'm very stubborn with trying to fix things.

Yeah, me too. That's why I decided it was better to just replace it. I spent probably and hour trying to straighten a $3.00 part and I think I just made it worse! LOL. I now have 2 parts boxes for he helis. Spares (big box) and broken and bent parts (box is getting bigger). I'm a serious re-purposer of things. I might find a good use for those rods on some other unrelated hobby/project so I'll keep them around. The twisted tail boom, well, who knows, I might need an aluminum tube for something. Plus I have a visual reminder of how much stuff I'm breaking, and if I keep seeing the same stuff show up in the box, well.. maybe I can learn something from that.

That's a cool idea! I was out testing the POV on one of my motorcycles. Mounting was not ideal. I might be able to do something really cool with the left-over boom. Hm.. thanks for the idea!
