No, I haven't used a stepdown, all electronics are at
room temperature after a 3 batterie flight. But haven't found that sweet spot were the tail is in a complete lock, there seems to be a very small wag while hovering and flying about. I'm flying around and changing gain 1 click at a time. But I'll get it. This is the vid I looked at to set my telebee ( if ever you need help) http://video.helifreak.com/?subpath=...=tail_gyro.wmv

Sly, there is a common cause for wag that is easy to forget: the gyro being able to shift (even a tiny amount) around during flight. This happened to me even with a spartan gyro. If you are using thick foam pads, replace those with thinner, firmer pads. Make sure the wires are securely fastened to the heli frame after about 2 1/2 inches from the gyro case.

But, if you go too thin or use zipties to hold the gyro, then the vibrations of the heli can affect the gyro.

In fact gentlemen, the tiny wag is gone. It was just a matter of time,
till I get the right setting for the gain. The gain is at 70 and its locked-in, no more wag. And I don't strap down the gyro, it causes unwanted vibrations. Its on one layer of slightly dense foam and then a thin sticky foam to hold securly on the boom, and the gyro is right side up, not underneath. That's the way I like it.
