RCJose thanks for the reply I’m going to work on my radio to figure out how to do it. I wasn’t sure what way the servos had to move according to radio input. I’m new and all to R/C so I have to read radio manual to figure out all functions.

Hey Tony I finally learned to program P.Mix into my radio. It took me a couple of hours but the reward of learning something new is terrific. All I have to do now is glue in servos and solder the batteries with deans connectors, wish me luck.
I have done it before; watching Will’s videos but it’s still a scary thing. I should have it up and running soon. I’m going to practice a little flying on SIM I bought from hoppypartz before I actually fly my F-22. Thanks for your help Tony.

Being that this is my first time trying to fly an airplane, I really don’t know what direction the radio is usually programmed. What is the usual way radios are program to fly an airplane? For example if I move the right stick down should the airplane go up or down? I was using the simulator that I have and noticed that having the airplane move up when the right stick is moved down worked good for me. I really don’t know if this is the way it should be. But I will like to have it the way everyone else has it. This way I could learn the right way.

That is correct. Think of it this way...
If you put a stick in the top of an airplane, it will act the same way as the right stick on your Tx. Push it up, the plane will nose down. Push it down, the nose will go up. And left and right respectively |

Tony thanks for the advice. I finally figured out how to program my radio with the right settings. I was thinking it’s much easier to fly an airplane on a simulator using the stick that same way. So now I have to go back and redo the programming, more practice anyway.
But after using simulator it showed me how unprepared I am to fly and airplane and a helicopter at that. So I start working by the end of this month and I’ll be able to buy clearview. I’ll practice throughout the winter and build toys along the way. The simulator showed me how important it is to now how to fly. These toys are not cheap so I’m going to practice

Hello all!.. Watched all of Wills videos on youtube many times, love them. I thought id order some foam and give it a try
. I have flown the rather small cheap rc planes (2ch) so i thought id try my hand at something a bit faster and more complex. Im building the F22, but i have a question if someone could help me?One of the cheap planes i flew was a 4ch glider, RTF. after crashing it a few times i stripped all the electronics out of it. I was trying it with a 6ch transmitter i had(thought it was broken) and i plugged five servo's into it and a brushed ESC+motor from the glider and both AUX channels on the reciever were working.. but i dont know if i should use them, perhaps they might be defective but from what ive seen they work perfectly. So i dont know if i should use them.. Has anyone seen this before ? |
